5Night Dolphin Encountour Group Experience (4-8 bums)

Join AngieGullan on a relaxed 5-night stay close to the main beach in Ponta do Ouro, built around the original Dolphin Encountour. Multiple sunrise launches/boat tours give you the best chance of meaningful, dolphin-led encounters with the resident Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins — the Dolphins of Ponta — while supporting long-term research and conservation.

Your 5-night self-catering stay is based at Mar e Sol, a comfortable property with sea views situated close to the main beach in Ponta do Ouro. The location offers easy access to the ocean and our Center while providing a relaxed base from which to enjoy your dolphin launches and explore the village. Please note that accommodation is not managed by Dolphin Encountours Research Center; while we assist with the arrangement, the property is independently operated.

Important Notes
Wild & free — just as they should be.
Dolphins are wild. Encounters are never guaranteed. Tours run at first light and depend on sea state and minimum numbers.
We prioritise guest comfort, safety and the dolphins’ well-being — launches may be delayed or rescheduled if conditions are unsuitable.
Conscious Interaction: We never chase, dive on, touch or feed the dolphins. All in-water time follows our long-standing Code of Conduct — interactions happen only when the dolphins choose to approach on their own terms.
Other
A fair level of swimming ability is required to enter the water with Angie to observe the dolphins in a calm way. Non-swimmers may join the boat but remain on board. The surf launch is not recommended for fragile or unfit people, or children under 5.
Transfers from the South African border (Kosi Bay) or Maputo International Airport are available on request (own account - ±Mtn14 000 return).
